Midweek Meditation Class with Kadampa Teacher Geoff

‘We often say, “My mind, my mind”, but if someone were to ask us, “What is your mind”, we would have no correct answer. This is because we do not understand the nature and function of the mind correctly.’ Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.

As happiness and suffering are states of mind if we are to find the happiness we seek, an understanding of our mind is essential. By learning how our mind works, we can begin to bring our mind under control, and in this way improve the quality of our life, both now and in the future.

This midweek meditation class is based on the book  How to Understand the Mind, by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.  It is a practical guide that offers deep insights into the nature and functions of the mind. Each week is self-contained with a different topic being taught. The class contains a talk, two guided meditations, a brief prayer, and practical advice on how to integrate Buddha’s teachings into our daily life.
